Getting up from your desk to go and speak to your colleagues – instead of emailing them – reduces the risk of heart attacks, research shows.

Those who take short breaks away from their seats – lasting as little as a minute – at regular intervals throughout the day are less likely to be overweight and have high blood pressure. They also substantially reduce the risk of potentially fatal cardiovascular diseases.

Researchers found that people who are on their feet for short periods which add up to more than two hours a day tend to have smaller waists and lower blood pressure. They studied the habits of 4,757 adults over the course of a week.

Each participant wore an accelerometer, a small device fitted to the hip to measure how much time they spend walking and running. Their waist size, blood pressure and the level of C-reactive protein in their blood, which is often high in people at risk of heart disease, were also measured.

The researchers, from the University of Queensland in Australia, whose study is published in the European Heart Journal, found that those who took the most breaks had waists up to 4cm smaller than those who were more sedentary.

Aciphex, also known under its generic name of rabeprazole, is part of a drug group called pump inhibitors. Simply put, this medicine reduces the amount of acid in your stomach. The drug is used for treatment of the following conditions:

  • Condition of Increased Mast Cells;
  • Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome, a condition when the stomach acid is pressed into the esophagus (also known as a gullet);
  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD);
  • Benign tumors of the glands producing hormones;
  • Esophageal reflux of stomach acid and related symptoms;
  • Duodenum ulcer that is caused by bacteria helicobacter pylori;
  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome;
  • Other conditions in which there is an excess of stomach acid secretion.

This medicine is sometimes also used to address the following:

  • Stomach bleeding;
  • Duodenum or Esophagus;
  • Stomach ulcer resulted from Aspirin and/or Ibuprofen-like drugs;
  • Other conditions when your esophagus has been damaged by stomach acid.

Aciphex is sometimes administered with an antibiotic to treat gastric ulcer related to an infection with helicobacter pylori.

Generally, it should be known that this medication is not meant to immediately relief symptoms related to heartburn. It acts over time so it is important not to miss your dose and to consult your physician if you wish to increase, decrease or otherwise change the dose, or to discontinue taking the drug.

Precautions

One should avoid taking this medication if there is a known history of allergic reaction to rabeprazole or similar drugs, such as omeprazole (Zegerid or Prilosec), lansoprazole (Prevacid), pantoprazole (Protonix) or esomeprazole (Nexium).

Because heartburn is frequently confused with the first symptoms that might occur in case of a heart attack, you should immediately seek medical attention if you feel one of the following:

  • Heavy feeling in your chest or chest pain;
  • Pain coming from your chest but spreading to your shoulder area and arms;
  • Sweating;
  • Nausea;
  • General feeling of illness.

The medication dosage may need to be adjusted if the patient has a severe liver condition. In such case, please consult your doctor before taking the drug.

Because Aciphex acts as a pump inhibitor it may raise the risk of bone fracture in the spine, hip or wrist areas. Such cases were very rare and only observed in people who had been taking the drug for very long periods of time at high dosage, as well as in elderly people in their 50s and later. It has not been definitely proven that the drug alone causes the risk of bone fracture but if you do have osteopenia (low density of minerals in your bones) or osteoporosis, please seek your doctor’s advice before taking this medication.

How to take this medication

Aciphex oral is taken by mouth with plenty of water. It does not matter whether you take it with food or without food. The pill should be swallowed in whole, not to be crushed, chewed or broken. The usual length of treatment with this medication is four to eight weeks. In some cases a second round of treatment is required. Because this medication is not intended for immediate relief of your symptoms, it is important to continue taking it for the full length of time prescribed by your pharmacist or doctor. You should continue using Aciphex even if you feel better without missing any dose.

Heart attack is the number one killer in America, biggest killer after cancer. A diet is the first point that can prevent this. There are four types of food that has proven it can reduce the risk of heart attack:

1. Garlic. A number of studies have shown some benefit from garlic. Regular consumption of garlic can reduce high blood, prevent blood clotting (cause of stroke), preventing an increase in blood sugar and cholesterol levels. Garlic is also known to reduce or neutralize the bad effects of salt.

2. Salmon. Replace full-fat burgers with your favorite piece of salmon. Though sometimes fat good for body, but a small portion of fat (from the consumption of half pieces of burgers every day) will cause blockage in the arteries that can increase the risk of heart attack. Instead, the salmon will reduce the risk, as salmon contain omega-3 can prevent the heartbeat too fast, preventing or reducing the rate of enlargement of the arteries, increasing the amount of good fats in the body, and prevents cholesterol and split into the artery blockage.

3. Cherry fruit and berries. Fruit is useful because it has a kind of substance that could prevent cell damage that can lead to clotting or blockage of blood vessels. If you have trouble getting fruits and berries (like strawberries or blueberries) or fruit cherry, then save it in significant amounts, if not seasons. In order not to get bored, mix in oatmeal or oatmeal, or use lemon juice. Fruits and berries are also good for improving your heart rate.

4. Red rice. Brown rice is a source of magnesium. These minerals (magnesium) can facilitate the flow of blood vessels. Magnesium deficiency can cause hypertension, heart attack, and heart rhythm disturbances. Brown rice does not need to be cooked too long. Serve with grilled vegetables, and roast chicken.

5. Chocolate. Drinking coffee? Try to change it with a glass of hot chocolate. Hot chocolate have antioxidants. Even the number was more than 3 times as much green tea.

Heart is often referred to as the center of life. So, we should always try to maintain good health as important organs in our bodies. Then we should understand the important facts about heart.

1. When the body is cold, heart keep warm
When we were in the cold area, our body will automatically drain the blood from the legs and arms toward the vital organs – including heart-to keep the temperature remain normal. That is why feet and hands are cold. This broke the theory that people who have fingers and feet cold, means having a bad blood circulation and heart problems.

2. Rarely socialize about heart attacks trigger
Heart attack patients who rarely socialize had more prone to depression. In fact, the stress flow can trigger hormones that make the heart work harder, until finally stopped beating. It suggested that heart patients be closer again with friends or family. Support from loved ones was very significant, and can help them to be more calm and strong through life.

3. Shock can make the heart want to “fall out”
Not only because of shock, a shock event that is also contributing. This is related to the existence of the aorta, the main channel where blood flows into the arm, neck, and brain, which is located at the top of the heart. When startled, scared, or nervous, we feel the heart beat very fast and seemed about to burst from my chest.

4. The heart forms of each person vary
The heart forms of tall and thin people tend to be longer and slender. While in the fat body, the shape can vary. Location of the heart was not in the right or left side of our chest, like a lot of people understood until now. Our heart lies in the middle of the chest.

If until now doctor always your put his stethoscope on the left side of our chest when he check the heart, it’s because the left ventricle of the heart is bigger and feels the pulse, rather than one on the right.
